Wonderful though Lee's first concert in Southend was, with his second he reached a whole other level - he was sublime! The set list was more or less the same - one addition, one omission - and performed with the same power, passion and sensitivity but with the greater assurance that comes from having already wowed a crowd!
He did introduce his band this time - his Musical Director, and keyboards, is Duncan Waugh and we also had Mike on guitar, Mason on drums, Orin on bass and Carl on second keyboards (surnames and/or spelling corrections gratefully received!).
He was again supported by Niamh Perry, who sang four solo numbers and a duet with Lee, and the mix of old favourites the Any Dream Will Do TV programme, tracks from both his albums, a few musical theatre numbers and a few standards struck exactly the right note with the extremely appreciative audience.
For those who have yet to go to a concert, and wish to retain that element of surprise, I have put the set list on a separate page so you can avoid it if you wish!

Thanks to BlueTopaz for these screencaps from a few seconds of video of the curtain call (lovely to see Lee bringing the band forward, and Niamh back on stage, for a West End style bow!)

I took no photos during the concert, but include a couple from the Stage Door afterwards, where he again spent a long time chatting to and signing for fans.
