SERIES 28, EPISODE 28 - SURVIVOR'S GUILT
Lofty shows he's more than just a pretty face with a ready smile and impresses with his nursing instincts, earning himself the chance of a permanent job in the ED (though with Lee having a year's contract, it would have been more of a shocker if he hadn't!). Clicking on the pic (right) will take you to some screencaps from the episode.
Radio Times: "New nurse Ben Chiltern may not be thrilled with his new nickname, but 'Lofty' is definitely making a good impression on his colleagues. So much so that it looks as if he'll be sticking around after being offered a permanent post. All of which is good news, as actor Lee Mead is a charismatic addition to the ED.
Ash, however, could do with getting himself back in Lily Chao's good books as she presses ahead with her accusation of workplace bullying. Iain, too, is struggling after his ex-soldier mate Kenny creates fresh tensions: get ready for a moody and menacing cliffhanger…"
Synopsis: Iain tries to assist a distressed ex-Army friend, whose paranoia over his wife is at breaking point, and new nurse Lofty's keen eye helps save a young man who must learn to stand up to his brother. Ethan is frustrated when Cal flirts with Jenny, the nurse who took care of their dying mother. Hospital drama, starring Michael Stevenson, Lee Mead and George Rainsford.
With my grateful thanks to the anonymous editor and my profuse apologies to those of the cast who have hit the cutting room floor, here's the 'Meady bits' edit!
