SERIES 28, EPISODE 34 - WHEN NOTHING ELSE MATTERS

Despite him featuring in the preview video (right), this was an all too brief Meady return after another week away from our screens, but there are still a few screencaps for your enjoyment.

Radio Times: "Actor Alex Walkinshaw's character Fletch will soon depart Casualty for Holby City and the seeds of his exit are being sown here. The affable nurse has always been cheery, if slightly naive, but his new-found love of gambling is starting to spiral out of control.

As is always the way with these things, Fletch begins by thinking that he's quids in and plans a holiday away with the family. But, of course, that's just the start of the story. Ash's daughter Ella is also dicing with danger as she goes to a party at Robyn's house. After taking ketamine, she quickly lands herself in the ED."

Synopsis: Fletch attempts to build bridges between a feuding father and son following a car crash in which another sibling suffered a serious head injury. Cal tries to impress Lily as they work together on a patient who appears to have used the internet to diagnose himself with a brain tumour, and Jeff agrees to cover for Ash's daughter, Ella, after she suffers an allergic reaction to ketamine at Robyn's house party.

With my ever grateful thanks to the anonymous editor and my profuse apologies to those of the cast who have hit the cutting room floor, here's the 'Meady bits' edit!
