SERIES 28, EPISODE 42 - FALLING (Part One)
Bumped from its usual Saturday night slot by the football, the first of this dramatic two-parter was broadcast on Sunday evening. Lee was well-down the cast list (and is completely missing from part two) so I feared his involvement would be minimal once again.
While Lofty was certainly a man of few words this time out, he was much in evidence about the department, popping up in resuss (just how do you spell resuss anyway?!), at the scanner, and alongside many a fast-moving trolley! There are, as usual, a few screencaps for you to enjoy.
Radio Times: "Two young lads are mucking about with a hunting rifle on the very edge of a cliff as a family enjoying a birthday treat flies past in a helicopter. It's one of those brick-by-brick Casualty set-ups that will leave you open-mouthed, not least at the Lee Harvey Oswald level of marksmanship involved.
Back at the hospital no one wants Zoe's doughnuts after the dead patient debacle of last week and Connie manages to grit her teeth and purse her lips at the same time. But Zoe is feeling mutinous, so mutinous that she’s told off by Charlie, which is like being mauled by a Cabbage Patch Doll. But Zoe will have her revenge – in front of the TV cameras. Someone give that woman media training."
With my ever grateful thanks to the anonymous editor and my profuse apologies to those of the cast who have hit the cutting room floor, here's the 'Meady bits' edit!
