SERIES 29, EPISODE 19 - WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKES
And that's a full sweep of January episodes for Lofty, who is very much part of the fabric of the ED now. I really enjoyed Lee's scenes this week, Lofty's interaction with his young patient and his father, and with Connie, were beautifully pitched... and I didn't even mind the now almost inevitable element of clumsiness on this occasion as the humour was played so deftly. Nice work, Mr Mead.
Synopsis: Connie puts her game face on and throws herself into work, after losing Grace. Lofty helps a family reconnect and Tess returns from her stint in the Urgent Care Centre to go back to basics as a nurse.
Big Mac deals with a man who's gambled away his brother's money and pawns his prized army medal rather than telling Noel and Honey that he can't afford to make dinner. He almost finds the courage to tell Noel the truth but backs out and instead is spotted by Honey stealing food from the Food Bank cupboard. Honey's also surprised when Ethan is cool with her following the near kiss.
The full episode will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer until Monday 2 March, and there are also a few screencaps for your enjoyment. Finally, with my ever grateful thanks to the anonymous editor and my apologies to those of the cast who have hit the cutting room floor, here's the 'Meady bits' edit!
