SERIES 29, EPISODE 29 - THE KING'S CROSSING
Unsurprisingly, Lofty doesn't find it within him to "be more Dylan" as advised by Max as a way of putting Robyn off (not that Lofty lets on that it's Max's step-sister he's talking about) - his attempt to be mean is as light and fluffy as the marshmallows he stuffs into his mouth!
I was glad to see, however, that Lee was used for more than simply light relief this week, as we also saw Lofty intervene to help a family face the truth before their secret could cause even more damage.
Oh, and we even got a tiny bit of back-story - a bar job in France, though it has to be said that his mastery of the language seemed about as strong as his mean streak!
Synopsis: With an accident on the Emergency Department doorstep resulting in the hospital needing to operate on a generator, it's a challenging shift for the medical team at Holby City Hospital.
Cal receives a phone call from a distressed Taylor and finds her in a park toilet with a knife in her leg. As he attempts to treat her, she calls on his brother Ethan for assistance, resulting in Taylor being arrested. Lofty wants to put Robyn off him and turns to Max for advice, but he doesn't succeed - she's smitten. Following the death of Alfred, Rita finds something suspicious in his bloods. Connie's heroic day comes to an unexpected end as she's arrested on suspicion of the murder of Alfred.
The full episode will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer until Monday 11 May, and there are also a few screencaps for your enjoyment. Finally, with my ever grateful thanks to the anonymous editor and my apologies to those of the cast who have hit the cutting room floor, here's the 'Meady bits' edit!
