At the end of the 'mini-tour' within a tour, the fifth concert in nine days, Lee was in relaxed mood. Enjoying his first visit to North Wales, and some particularly fine weather I might add - the Llandudno seafront looked wonderful in the sunshine - Lee gave his audience the now familiar mix of chat and stunning vocals.Lee was backed by his usual band, including the wonderful brass section (such a great addition to the overall sound), and rejoined by the lovely Niamh Perry, who was clearly feeling the winds of change as the end of both her run in Love Never Dies and her tour with Lee were fast approaching.
With Niamh came the welcome return to the setlist of her beautiful version of 'Make You Feel My Love', and of the duet 'One' - I just love the way Lee sings this. Other highlights were many - 'Seven Nation Army' and 'Jesus Christ Superstar' never fail to impress, 'Anthem' always moves me, and the heart-felt emotion as Lee sings 'When You Say Nothing At All' for his two ladies is simply beautiful.
