Lee joined Paul Hopper by phone this morning for a quick interview on 'Breakfast with Hopps' on North Devon local radio station, The Voice FM. Focusing mainly on his upcoming concert in Barnstaple on 1 June, Lee also spoke briefly about his regular role on Casualty and confirmed he would be pushing the button on the National Lottery show tomorrow, 24 May.
Paul played the interview out with Lee's fantastic version of Drops of Jupiter from his second album Nothing Else Matters, and then told listeners to tune in again on Monday for an exciting competition...
THE VOICE - PAUL HOPPER
When Monday came, Paul introduced the competition with Paint It Black, the song which so many regard as Lee's defining moment on Any Dream Will Do, and which he included on his first album Lee Mead. Congratulations to the winner of the pair of tickets for Lee's Barnstaple gig and a meet & greet with the man himself before the show, who correctly named the two other 'Josephs' who Lee performed with at Wembley in 2007 (at the Concert for Diana) as Donny Osmond and Jason Donovan.
