While Lee was busy preparing for and winding down from his fabulous London Christmas show on Sunday, he was also being heard around the country, first on BBC Radio 2 as Paul O'Grady played Make It With You from Lee's debut album and spoke about his upcoming 26 date 10 Year Anniversary Tour, before reminiscing briefly about their time in panto together at the Palladium last year. The tour opens in Newbury on 24 February and continues one weekend a month throughout the year, culminating in a home town gig for Lee on 25 November.
BBC RADIO 2 - PAUL O'GRADY
Later in the evening, lovely Beverley Humphreys played I'll See You In My Dreams from Lee's last album Some Enchanted Evening on her World of Music show for BBC Radio Wales, adding that Lee had told her when they'd spoken earlier in the week that he was busy recording his next album Lee Mead - 10 Years, a companion to the aforementioned tour and due for release on 23 February, as well as getting ready to play the title role in Jack and the Beanstalk in Southend, opening on 16 December. I was delighted to hear that she will also be 'inviting Lee into her world' in the coming months - her interviews are always a wonderful listen.
