It was great to hear Lee chatting at length to Carla Greene on her BBC Radio Lincolnshire afternoon show today, ahead of his 10 Years Anniversary Tour stop at Lincoln Drill Hall on Saturday 10 March. There's another date in the region later in the tour too - Palace Theatre, Newark on Friday 26 October - and you can find the full schedule here. I do love it when an interviewer has done their research as well as Carla had - the result is a wide-ranging chat full of Meady stories.
As it says on the tin - this tour marks the 10 year anniversary of Lee's winning and playing the role of Joseph in the West End and celebrates the decade since with songs from shows he's appeared in and from previous tours.
It is accompanied by a new album, due out 23 February, and it was wonderful to hear two more tracks played during the interview - a haunting, intense version of Close Every Door from Joseph and a beautiful song he has sung in concert more recently, Blackbird. They were both gorgeous - you can hear the full tracks on the BBC Radio Player and tiny bits in my edited clip of the interview below.
