Lee and fellow guest, local MP Sir David Amess, joined Tony Fisher on his afternoon show for BBC Radio Essex to chat about the Southend Salutes Its Veterans online concert for VE Day. The concert was Sir David's idea, in the wake of more public celebrations being cancelled due to COVID-19, and is airing as I type (though not without some technical difficulties!)
I was particularly glad to hear Lee tell Tony that he would be singing You'll Never Walk Alone from Carousel, having missed it during his final A Carpella Instagram LIVE session - so here's hoping the sounds OK for that bit. EDIT: It did ... and it was wonderful. But, given the technical issues, the live stream was abandoned shortly after and instead will be available to watch in full on YouTube shortly.
