Chelmsford Community Radio .. 13 December 2020
We heard part of this interview with Ollie Rogers on CCR - Chelmsford Community Radio earlier in the week as promo got underway for the release of Lee's first Christmas single In My Arms For Christmas on 14 December. The full interview aired today when - liberally scattered with music from Lee's past albums and, of course, the new single - it took up the whole first hour of Ollie's Sunday show.

The chat ranged far and wide - starting with the single, Lee's 2021 My Band And Me tour and his 1000 ticket giveaway for key workers (ballot for members of the GMB Union opens tomorrow 14 December and runs until 5pm on 1 January 2021), before delving further back in Lee's career to winning Any Dream Will Do, to Casualty and Holby. Then there was the music:

  • In My Arms For Christmas - written by Adam Dennis, a real feel-good song and the perfect antidote to 2020
  • Any Dream Will Do - Lee's #2 single from 2007 from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
  • Through The Barricades - from Lee's 2009 Nothing Else Matters album
  • Next Time You Fall In Love - with Connie Fisher, from her 2009 Secret Love album
  • I'll See You In My Dreams - from Lee's 2016 Some Enchanged Evening album
  • Gonna Make You A Star - from Lee's eponymous debut album in 2007
  • When The Stars Go Blue - with Hayley Westenra, also from Nothing Else Matters
  • Nothing Else Matters - the title track from the 2009 album
  • Your Song - from Lee's 2012 Love Songs album

  • The full show (with music) is available to LISTEN AGAIN on CCR's MixCloud - and there's a chat-only edit of Lee's bit below.
