As the Ice Bucket Challenge in aid of ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) in America or MND (Motor Neurone Disease) in the UK spread like wildfire across social media on both sides of the Atlantic, Lee was first nominated by Keith Jack, then by David Thaxton, then by Dan Burton, then by Rachel Tucker and finally bowed to the inevitable with the able assistance of Amanda Henderson on both bucket and video uploading duty! I'm assuming the double bucketing was because he hadn't met the challenge within the required 24 hours!
Donations so far have reached nearly $90 million in the US and £2 million in the UK, where it started rather later, but it matters not where the funds are raised - they will enable badly needed research into this vicious disease to the benefit of sufferers everywhere.
