Lee was very chuffed to be nominated in the 'Favourite Newcomer' category of the 2014 TV Times Awards.
These Awards, voted for by the viewing public, have been running for over 40 years now and Lee himself is a previous winner of the very same category in 2007, when he first burst into the public consciousness as the winner of 'Any Dream Will Do', the people's Joseph! You can read his thoughts following that award HERE.
A second nomination in the newcomer category, seven years after the first, may strike people as a little odd... but 2014 has seen a new chapter for Lee (and his fans) as he secured his first regular TV role as popular 'Nurse Lofty' in the BBC's long-running hospital drama, Casualty.
And the Results are in... published in the 6 December issue of the TV Times. On this occasion, once the votes were counted, Lee was runner-up to six-year-old Amelia Flanagan from Emmerdale, with the fabulous James Norton, who played psychopath Tommy Lee Royce to great acclaim in one of the drama highlights of the year, Happy Valley, in third.
Congratulations Lee on a great result, seeing off some very strong competition, and you know what they say about working with children or animals, I reckon it applies to awards too!
