Lee Mead .. Timeline
Royal Parks Half .. 11 October 2015

Lee is one of a group who ran the 2015 Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon, the
RPF Half, in support of their friend Jon Trevor's fund-raising efforts for
The Stroke Association. Jon is a personal trainer who has worked with many celebrities over the years and it was a shock to all who knew him when this fitness guru revealed he had had a stroke at the age of only 53.
Lee, his Casualty co-star, George Rainsford and fellow actors Diana Marchment and John Altman all joined Jon in both the run, which took place through the Royal Parks of London on
Sunday 11 October, and the appeal (Jake Wood was also due to have taken part but had to pull out shortly before the event through injury).
They reached their modest £100 per mile target (with Lee's fans being typically generous in their support) a day or two before the run.

The picture (left) of Lee, Diana and Jon was taken at around the 10 mile point, shared by James Green and Stroke Association London, while the one of Lee and Jon at the finish (right) was tweeted by Lee.

First home in a super-fast time (top 250) was seasoned runner, George Rainsford. The rest of the team set a steadier pace, Lee and Jon Trevor running together throughout, joined for a while by Diana Marchment, with John Altman bringing up the rear. Their finish times are:
- George Rainsford 1hr 30:23
- Jon Trevor 2hr 36.21
- Lee Mead 2hr 36.22
- Diana Marchment 2hr 38.17
- John Altman 3hr 18.15
Huge congratulations to Lee and the whole team, a fabulous amount raised for a very deserving cause. And this is just one step (OK,
many steps!) on the path to the full London Marathon that Lee is in training to run next year!
