
It was these films that first sparked his love of music and theatre, and those early memories which fed the creative process when he started to think about producing a musical theatre album. Not for him the Webber catalogue, which has been done, and done well, many times... as always with his music, he sought a more personal inspiration, and the result is indeed enchanting.
An initial selection of ten tracks was swelled to eleven (listed on the album artwork below right and in Discography) by the late addition of a fans' favourite from his 2015 live dates, at which he tried out many of the songs he was later to record. I'm delighted he heeded the many requests to include 'Feeling Good' as it's long been a special song for me and his version is sublime, but every song has earned its place on the album and is invested with Lee's trademark ability to tell the story.
