The guests at The Lady Taverners 25th Anniversary Ball held at The Dorchester Hotel on Friday 21 September 2012 were treated to a superb cabaret from Lee and his band. As is fairly normal at such events, the huge room never fully quietened to listen, but those who paused in their chatter and drew closer, crowding the dance floor in front of the small stage, were richly rewarded.Amongst them were a small group of Lee's fans, happy as always to see him perform and very much enjoying the chance to dress up and share the glitzy occasion with friends. A champagne reception, delicious food, flowers and feathers, silverware and glasses glittering in the candlelight, ballgowns and bling and bow ties ... and Lee, it really was a wonderful evening!
Joining Lee on stage were his producer, Mason Neely, on drums, Richie Blake on bass and Steven Reid Williams on keyboards, for a forty minute set consisting of tracks from Lee's latest album 'Love Songs' and musical theatre classics - delivered in that beautifully rich, smooth voice which soared over the background hubbub.
