The Gaiety Festival .. 1 May 2022
Lee Mead headlines at the Gaiety Festival - Ragley Hall, May 2022 UPDATE (11 MARCH): Sadly, the organisers have taken the tough decision to postpone this event to 2023. They have secured the equivalent date - Sunday 30 April 2023 - at Ragley Hall, although they cannot guarantee that the same fabulous artists will be available.

Ticketholders can choose either to roll over their booking or to request a refund. They should have received an email but, if not, simply log into your account at Ticketsellers and select Refunds and Rollovers to make your choice.

Announced last year, I'm late adding this exciting event to the website... Lee is amongst the headliners of the 2022 Gaiety Festival, an outdoor music festival staged at Warwickshire's picturesque Ragley Hall estate and dedicated solely to musical theatre ... even without Lee's involvement, this already sounds right up my street (and, relatively speaking, just down the road for me too!). Starring leading West End and international artists, this unique multi-stage showtunes spectacle promises to be the new highlight of the theatrical calendar and a must for any theatre fan.

In addition to Lee, and with many more to be announced, the line-up so far includes Kerry Ellis and Marisha Wallace - both of whom guested at Lee's brilliant Live at the London Palladium concert last June - and Cassidy Janson, who Lee has shared billing with both on the 2018 Stages Festival and more recently at Ronnie Scott's in December 2020. The icing on the cake must surely be the presence of the superb London Musical Theatre Orchestra - the LMTO is the world's only professional orchestra dedicated solely to musical theatre.

The festival's website entreats you to: "Immerse yourself in a festival like no other! You'll be spoiled for choice with ten hours of incredible entertainment on multiple stages, opportunities to participate in theatrical workshops and experiences, family fun at the fairground, and a profusion of excellent food, drink, and delights in the festival village. From the moment the conductor waves his baton to the very last note of the spectacular finale, you'll be in musical theatre heaven!"
