Those at the concert reported a 'proper East End knees-up', presented by Barbara Windsor with music and more from a line-up which included Russ Abbott, Emma Barton, Bernard Cribbins, Kerry Ellis, Lee Mead, Bradley Walsh, Samantha Womack, backed by the Capital Voices and the BBC Concert Orchestra conducted by Richard Balcombe.

And Lee's contribution? While we knew from earlier reports to expect From Russia With Love from Lee, we were delighted that he also sang a second number, the Anthony Newley hit Do You Mind - fabulous both of them. During the interval there was a piece recorded during rehearsals, where Lee told of an early childhood memory of watching 'Oliver' with his Mum (which I've unfortunately lost in a commputer meltdown). Ahhhh!
