As Lee spends his third day shut in a tiny booth doing radio promo ahead of the release of his new album Love Songs on 6 February and UK Tour starting 11 February, more of the interviews reach the airwaves.
First up is an interview with Becky Want for BBC Radio Manchester in three parts, thanks to the technical gremlin that cut Lee off a few seconds into his chat with Becky. He returned in time to have a short chat with Andrew Lloyd Webber (on the show to talk about today's announcement that he's switched from the Beeb to ITV to search for a 'Jesus' for an arena tour of Superstar), continuing his interview with Becky when Andrew's had concluded.
BBC RADIO MANCHESTER - BECKY WANT
Later came a lovely interview with Vic Minett on BBC Coventry & Warwickshire and another with Katey Wallace for Radio Teeside. And finally, with grateful thanks to the fellow fan who captured this one, a relaxed interview with Phil Johnson for Southport's Dune FM, recorded at the end of a long day of radio promo from BBC Western House ... from 'a quiet, old man's pub' across the road after Lee had been booted out because they needed the studio back!
If you were listening live, you'd have heard a first play for Hallelujah on BBC Radio Manchester and The Garden on BBC Coventry & Warwickshire. The audios below are edited for chat only.
BBC RADIO COVENTRY & WARWICKSHIRE - VIC MINETT
RADIO TEESDALE - KATEY WALLACE
DUNE FM - PHIL JOHNSON
I've missed loads, I'm sure, so if you come across any others, please let me know!
