Lee joined Sadie Nine by phone on her morning show for BBC Radio Essex to talk about his support for local efforts to restore Southend's famous Kursaal, creating an arts and culture resource for the community. Talking about what it had meant to four genertions of his family and of how sad it would be for it to be lost to the people of the town, he nonetheless recognised the obstacles that any project would need to overcome, not least the need for funding.
