BBC Radio Essex .. 26 November 2021

Lee joined Dave Monk on his afternoon snow for BBC Radio Essex, by phone from rehearsals for Sleeping Beauty which opens at Bromley's Churchill Theatre on 4 December, running to 2 January 2022. He'd found a quiet room to make the call, but apologised in advance for any interruptions from the opera singer rehearsing next door! All was quiet however, and a relaxed chat ensued.

Talk ranged from re-emerging from the COVID wilderness to live performance once more, roles past and those he'd love to play, stage versus TV work and his hope that his relationship with Kay Mellor, writer and director of Fat Friends the Musical, in which he stars from January to July 2022, may lead to more work in the latter genre at some future date. There was airplay too (a teaser at least) for his new single Little Light, released last Friday along with the live CD and DVD of his fabulous London Palladium concert last June.
