Aladdin opens .. 19 December 2015
Aladdin, Birmingham Hippodrome, 2015/16 It was announced back in May that Lee Mead would be taking the title role in the "spectacular pantomime extravaganza", QDOS Pantomimes' flagship production of Aladdin at the Birmingham Hippodrome from 19 December 2015 to 31 January 2016.

Birmingham Hippodrome Panto Launch, Sep 2015. Unfortunately, Lee's Casualty filming commitments in Cardiff meant he couldn't be at the panto's launch on 25 September, but Julian Clary and Matt Slack did the honours in fine style (right) ... oh yes they did!

Lee is joined in the cast by:

  • Julian Clary as the Spirit of the Ring
  • Marti Pellow as Abanazar
  • Matt Slack as Wishee Washee
  • Andrew Ryan as Widow Twankey
  • Emily Shaw as Princess Jasmine
  • and Landi Oshinowo as the Empress of China

    • and all were on hand for the show's press call at the Hippodrome the day before their first show.
