Lee in his amazing technicolor dreamcoat and the children's choir from Joseph took a short walk from the Adelphi Theatre to the West End Live stage in Leicester Square to be part of the 2008 line-up of this fabulous weekend of free entertainment from the casts of London's West End shows.
Click on the programme cover (right/above) to see the full line-up across the two days and the Joseph programme entry - which Lee may have signed for me in the Adelphi scrum (as his post-show signings were affectionately known!) after the matinee later that day.
He started by leading a Leicester Square singalong of Any Dream Will Do then, after shedding the coat, sang a beautifully simple Close Every Door.
I was on video duty - unfortunately my memory card couldn't cope with all the gorgeousness, so Close Every Door is cruelly cut short but you can, in any event, see the results at the foot of the page. Thankfully others were more competent and you will find many other videos on YouTube which do capture the full performance.
Meanwhile, with my camera otherwise engaged, huge thanks to my two partners in crime, Em and Lady T, for capturing these stunning images of Lee's performance and to Jay Gilbert for allowing me to share a few of his shots captured from the photographer's pen - click on any image to view the FULL GALLERY of larger images.
