SERIES 29, EPISODE 10 - DEADFALLThis week's episode was the first of the 'Casualty noir' standalone episodes, where a storyline outside the normal thread of Holby life is explored. The plot revolved around Dr Lily Chao (Crystal Yu), her patient Valentine Kildare (guest star Gary Lucy), involved two unexplained deaths and took the regular characters into darker realms than they usually tread. Lofty helped Lily understand what was happening in a somewhat unexpected way and was there when it counted as the mystery unravelled.
Synopsis: Ethan is in charge during the night shift when a patient going by the name of Valentine comes in with bad facial injuries, and while it seems likely they were caused in a fight, he refuses to admit it. He does, however, have plenty of time to flirt with Lily.
Meanwhile, Charlie breaks down and discovers a couple, Alex and Janie, who have crashed nearby. The police arrive and soon everyone is at the hospital - only for a suspicious death to rouse the officers' suspicion. However, it is Lily who tries to piece the puzzle together and in doing so, puts her own life in danger.
