SERIES 29, EPISODE 40 - IF YOU COULD BOTTLE ITNew nurse, Jacob Masters, played by Charles Venn, joined the show this week and, having made an immediate impression on the ED staff when he brought someone in for treatment, was pretty much hired on the spot, as is so often the way in Holby, if not in your average NHS Trust! He brings a new energy to the team and I'm only sorry that by the end of the ep he'd clearly learned Lofty's name, as I rather like him calling him 'pretty boy'...
Meanwhile Lofty thought he'd found a bargain but forgot the milk, treated a patient or two and learned that if a bargain seems too good to be true, it slmost certainly is!
Synopsis: An unlikely hero leads the team to a crucial diagnosis and Rita helps a desperate man realise that he needs help. New nurse Jacob Masters bursts into the Emergency Department and does all he can to make sure his friend is seen to, making quite an impression on the staff. Connie is a fan and encourages him to speak to Rita about joining the team. Rita doesn't appreciate this but Jacob insists he's on her side.
Things get worse for Dylan as he struggles with his obsessive behaviour compulsions. Feeling anxious without his lucky shirt, he avoids resus bay four. Rita starts helping Cal to study, while Zoe goes in to a panic when Max reveals his mum is coming to visit.
