SERIES 29, EPISODES 46 - FORSAKING ALL OTHERS, Part 2Events at the start of tonight's episode may have come out of left field for anyone who didn't watch the online mini-ep aired after last night's main episode, but I'm sure you were all up to speed! Anyway, the concept of living 'happily ever after' is an alien one to soap scriptwriters, so it's no surprise that there was heartbreak and high drama before the evening's events were through.
Lofty, being Lofty, stumbled... verbally on this occasion, in trying to deliver the best man speech that so terrified him, but he came up trumps in the end with words spoken straight from the heart. There was dancing and fight-stopping and fire-fighting too from 'action Lofty' - lovely to see so much from Lee at last, with more promised in next weekend's two-part episode to launch Series 30.
Synopsis: The day of carefree porter Max and senior consultant Zoe's wedding finally arrives, but it seems someone has developed cold feet. The drama continues at the reception when a drunk Louis lashes out at Max, and in all the commotion, a flame heater is knocked over, resulting in a deadly blaze. Meanwhile, back at the ED, a patient blames Louise for causing her miscarriage when she treated her as a nurse at another hospital, and Dylan tries to bring his anxieties under control after being diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder.
