S19-E47 : KEEP ON RUNNINGIn a 'secrets and spoilers' chat with Digital Spy, Holby City's new series producer Kate Hall talked of Lofty and Dom's story as "a slow-burning love story" adding "It's gorgeous, measured, not rushed and it's respectful of the fact that Dominic has been so badly damaged by Isaac." Perfect!
This week moved things along a little, with some beautifully played scenes between Lofty and Dom ... kudos to both Lee and David Ames for their light touch, convincingly conveying complex emotions as much with a look or a shrug as with their words - these two work so well together. I've always thought Lee can say more with his eyes (and his eyebrows!) than most people can armed with two pages of script and he certainly did tonight.
Synopsis: When events take a tragic turn during the Holby Half Marathon, Lofty is forced to finally confront his feelings for Dominic. With a shortage of theatres, Fletch must enlist Jac's help to treat a patient who desperately needs to get home to his kids. Meanwhile, Guy puts Zosia to the test to prove she made the right decision in transferring to neuro.
Finally, with my apologies to those of the cast who have hit the cutting room floor, is the 'Meady edit'. There will be screencaps as soon as I have time to give them the attention they deserve!
