S9-E15 : THE BEAT GOES ONLee spent a week on set at CBBC show The Dumping Ground back in March 2021, filming a guest appearance in an episode originally intended for broadcast last autumn. As with so many things in times of COVID, plans changed and Series 9 was paused half way through. Returning after a five month hiatus, The Beat Goes On finally aired in February 2022.
Playing rock star, Drew, from the Death Night Thrashers, Lee shares his scenes with series regular Annabelle Davis (Sasha) - pictured, and judging by tweets Lee shared during filming (18 Mar and 20 Mar) he thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
It was a rather special episode - an exit storyline for Sasha, and despite being my first introduction to The Dumping Ground, it was easy to see that this feisty but thoughtful character will be much missed.
