Lee Mead : The Colours of My Life .. 2027/28

It's been many months since I first heard Lee speak of how he might celebrate next year's 20th anniversary of the show that changed his life, so I couldn't be more delighted to see his plans come to fruition with today's announcement of The Colours of My Life tour, a new solo show combining live music and personal stories from across his career.

The tour marks two decades since Lee beat more than 10,000 hopefuls to win Any Dream Will Do, earning the title role in the West End revival of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and launching a career that has seen him become one of British musical theatre's best-known leading men. Since then, he has starred in many major productions including Wicked, Legally Blonde, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Chicago, We Will Rock You, Sister Act and Barnum, not to mention a five-year stint as Nurse Ben 'Lofty' Chiltern on BBC's Casualty and Holby City.

Accompanied by his long-time musical director Adam Dennis on piano, Lee will take audiences on a journey through the highs and lows of his career, sharing stories from West End dressing rooms, opening nights and his experiences on stage and screen.

There is a new book too, also titled The Colours of My Life, which looks back on the first 20 years of Lee's career. Speaking about the project, Lee said: "The last 20 years have been incredible and I can't wait to share the highlights with audiences from around the country – it's going to be a very special tour."

Twenty-five dates have been announced - details below - with tickets on sale from 10am Friday 28 August 2026. M&G (pre-show meet and greet with photograph & autograph, plus best seats and goody bag) and VIP (next best seats and goody bag) are available at most venues. Further dates are due to be announced for Spring 2028 and I'll add these below as they are.
