Celebrating the work of Irving Berlin, the concert was hosted by Anton du Beke and featured Lee, Mary Carewe, Matthew Ford, Georgina Jackson and the sixty piece BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Richard Balcombe, performing many of the legendary composer's best-known songs.
The orchestra opened and closed the first half and opened the second with overtures from Top Hat, Call Me Madam and Annie Get Your Gun, while each of the singers performed four solos, coming together for the finale - fittingly "There's No Business Like Show Business". In the interval, there were interviews with a few of those involved behind the scenes, with each of the soloists and with presenter, Anton du Beke.
