Lee was a relaxed and entertaining guest on Madeley on Sunday on BBC Radio 2 on Easter Sunday, chatting to Richard about his busy career and his forthcoming UK tour, which kicks off at Sherman Cymru in Cardiff on 4 May.
Accompanied by Mason Neely on guitar and Will Stuart on piano, he also performed two songs live in the studio - first a simple arrangement of the beautiful Cat Stevens song Father and Son, Lee's interpretation of the two voices spot on, and later a change of style for Luck Be A Lady, offering a taste of Lee's next MGM-musical themed album.
As examples of what audiences can expect to hear on the tour, these two songs were well chosen and brilliantly performed! I look forward to discovering what 'surprises' Lee has in store for us, and am delighted to hear that the brass section will be back for the Christmas show at the Garrick - that promises to be a very special evening to bring the 2014 tour to an end in style.
