Lee was fairly quiet during the chatter, but that may have been because he was contemplating the a capella performance he was about to give...! A capella is daunting at the best of times, but on live radio and surrounded by fellow singers, I can only imagine how fast the adrenaline was flowing... which makes his exquisitely tender rendition of Hushabye Mountain from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang all the more remarkable. The song features in Lee's current Some Enchanted Evening tour - if you can make it to any of the three remaining dates, in Portsmouth, Tunbridge Wells and Southend from 26-28 October, you won't be sorry!
But there was more... Gaby taking full advantage of having such a wealth of musical talent in the studio. Ben Forster was on vocal rest due to the demands of Phantom, but Lee, David Hunter and Sam Bailey joined forces to sing Falling Slowly, quite beautifully. The last song was Periscoped by fellow guest, Simon London, and is included here for your viewing pleasure!
