Tweets from Lee alerted us to a couple of local radio interviews today as the start of his new 2019 tour My Story - A Dream That Became A Reality draws ever closer! With the opening gig at Victoria Theatre, Halifax on Saturday 16 February, first up was Stephanie Hirst at BBC Radio Leeds and I was delighted to learn that Adam Dennis, the musical director on Lee's hugely successful 2018 10 Years anniversary tour will be the man at the keys of the grand piano this time round.
Talking next to John Gillmore and Albia Begum at BBC Radio Lancashire ahead of a tour stop at King George's Hall, Blackburn on Sunday 17 February, Lee described the concept of this 'stripped down' show in more detail, hinting at some of the songs he'll be singing in an evening that will also see him reflect on his life and career in conversation with the lovely Beverley Humphreys.
