Catching up with this really excellent interview when I got home from that Horsham gig (which was FABULOUS by the way!), I was especially delighted to hear of "big storylines" coming up for Lofty in June! With news breaking at the end of last week that Lee is to co-produce and star in a one-week run of the Frank McGuinness drama Someone Who'll Watch Over Me the same month, plus no less than five tour dates, June looks like being the month that keeps on giving! Mark played Your Song from Lee's Love Songs album to close the interview - I always forget just how beautiful Lee's cover of this song is and fall in love with it all over again every time I hear it!
Lee's new My Story show combines music and chat in a very different format to his previous tours - he describes it far better than I can in the interview - and the tour comes back to the BBC Sussex/Surrey region a few more times between now and its finale in November...
