And for Lee, that includes the recently announced Lee Mead : Live at the London Palladium concert on Thursday 10 June which will celebrate both his 40th birthday (in July) and his first 20 years in the business, with songs from shows he's starred in, from his five albums, and new material he's been writing during lockdown. He'll be backed by a 12 piece band (including brass section and string quartet!) led by his long-time musical director, Adam Dennis, and they also plan to record the show to produce a live album and DVD... talk about coming back with a bang!
Slotting into the roadmap out of lockdown at the point that theatres can reopen with socially-distanced audiences ... tickets for this one-off show went on sale last Friday and with only 1000 available I heartily recommend booking soon!
He talked also of his 35-date My Band And Me UK tour, rescheduled from last summer, which will now go ahead in September and October this year and of a couple of potential projects for early next year, as well as plans to stage another play after the success of his first venture into producing - Someone Who'll Watch Over Me - back in 2019.
