It was of course Essex boy, Lee Mead, who takes on his first 'baddie' role as Commander Khashoggi in the new West End production. In a chat recorded a week or so ago, when Lee was deep in tech rehearsals, they covered a lot of ground ... auditioning in front of Queen, returning to the West End, making things happen, career highlights (yes, this is very definitely one!) and much, much more besides.
It's a great listen, interspersed with snatches of some of the 24 Queen songs that feature in the musical, whetting the appetite nicely for the show that runs for a limited season - 12 weeks only - this summer.
