Sleeping Beauty casting news .. 16 November 2020
Lee Mead stars in Sleeping Beauty - Milton Keynes, Dec 2020/Jan 2021 When it was announced a few weeks ago that QDOS Pantomimes, with the support of the National Lottery, would be producing ten pantomimes this Christmas, I hardly dared hope that Lee would be among those cast. Yet here we are, in the middle of the second national lockdown - due to end (please!!!) on 2nd December - giddy at the news that he's to return to Milton Keynes Theatre, where he was last year for Aladdin, to star as The Prince in a socially-distanced Sleeping Beauty!

He is joined by:
  • Suzanne Shaw - The Enchantress
  • Claire Sweeney (who Lee last shared a stage with in Chitty) - Carabosse
  • Pete Firman - Muddles
  • Allan Stewart and Andy Gray - The King and Queen
  • Tegan Bannister (Princess Jasmine to Lee's Aladdin last year) - Princess Beauty
  • Will Jennings - Slimeball

  • Emma Sullivan, Theatre Director at Milton Keynes said...

"We are totally overjoyed to be opening our doors again for a fantastic family pantomime! With thanks to QDOS and The National Lottery we will be able to host an unforgettable festive experience wth all the laughs and thrills you would expect, while making sure the theatre is absolutely safe for our audiences.

"To express our gratitude to the incredible NHS workers, we will also be inviting them and their loved ones to the first performance free of charge. This year, we hope to give Milton Keynes a much-needed Christmas to remember!"

NHS workers just need to head to healthservicediscounts and register for the ballot for free tickets to the first performance.

To ensure the venue can welcome audiences without the need to make alterations if local restrictions change, ATG's policy is for all bookings to comply with the government guidance for Tier 3. This means that any booking must only be for a single household or support bubble. Tickets are available in groups of 2 to 6 only. Also, if you are traveling from another area, ATG ask you to honour the restrictions that are in force where you live. You can read more about the measures ATG are taking to keep audiences safe HERE.

    Saturday 19 December 2020 - Sunday 10 January 2021

All performances between the above dates are cancelled following the announcement on 17 December that Buckinghamshire would move into Tier 3 where restrictions require all live performance venues to close. The venue will be in contact with ticketholders soon.
