SERIES 29, EPISODE 1 - LEARNING TO FLYRunning straight on from the end of Series 28, this series opener saw the return of both Dixie and Charlie from far-flung parts of the world, but Charlie is not quite himself and Lofty both helps him out and ultimately questions whether it might be time for him to think of retirement...! Lofty's 'mini-Sherlock' skills (to quote Lee in a recent radio interview) also come to the fore in diagnosing a mystery illness.
All in all, I'm loving what I see of Lofty, just wish there was more to see - but I remain hopeful that a big storyline is coming up soon!
Synopsis: Jeff discovers Samantha has been keeping a secret from him when he comes face to face with her husband. Although the paramedic protests his innocence, the two men soon come to blows, with Samantha caught in the middle - but then someone grabs a kitchen knife. Meanwhile, Max helps a young couple stand up to their families, who don't want them to be together, and Charlie returns to work, although it's clear he's not firing on all cylinders.
