I don't mean to dismiss the music - it was, as always, superb - but I have written at length about it elsewhere and my memories of the evening now, a month on, are more of the banter ... a running joke about the low turn-out (this was perhaps the least supported of all the gigs on the Love Tour, but I understand Lee is in very good company in failing to fill Bristol's Colston Hall!) and a delightful interlude when a child on the front row proudly told Lee that she had just got her swimming badge - he gave her his complete attention for those few seconds and no doubt has a fan for life!
It was also the 'home gig' for musical director, Mason Neely, and others in the band which leant the evening something of a family air, though tinged with a hint of wistfulness as we neared the end of the tour.
Click for the full setlist with band credits and my thanks to the lovely Abs for sharing her concert photos and to the ever-willing Phill for those from the signing queue (where Lee greeted me, and continued to chat to me, in French ... until we both (quite rapidly) ran out of vocab - random!) - as always, click any below to view full Gallery.
