It was when speaking to Lee after February's Milford Haven gig that he first mentioned the possibility of a new tour in the Spring of 2025 - I remember thinking it was a little close on the heels of the 2024 leg of his The Best of Me tour, but as so often in the multi-faceted Mead career, there was a surprise to be sprung! Not a solo tour this time, but the starring role in an ensemble show celebrating the very best of musical theatre - The Phantoms.Lee is joined by former cast members of The Phantom of the Opera in a night combining spectacular vocal performances and tantalising tales, during which the audience will get to know Lee and his journey from the dressing rooms of Phantom to the living rooms of the nation on his way to winning BBC's Any Dream Will Do, becoming one of the hottest tickets in town!
With 29 dates throughout April and early May, including matinee AND evening shows at both Chelmsford and Tamworth and a two-night stop in Sunderland, the tour tracks back and forth across England from the South coast to the North East, from Norfolk to the Wirral and many points in between - hopefully there's one (or more) calling your name! But, if not, further dates are being scheduled in the Autumn!
UPDATE : 21 DEC 2024 The Phantoms cast is presented - joining Lee are...Luke McCall (left) has recently returned from playing the Phantom in the 'Love Never Dies' Asia Tour, and boasts the world record for being the youngest person to play both the roles of The Phantom and Jean Valjean in the West End productions of Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables respectively.
Aaron Pryce-Lewis (right) graduated from the Royal College of Music before flying straight into the cast of Les Miserables, performing the roles of Jean Valjean and Javert in a mixture of West End and International Tour productions. After Les Miserables and an extensive catalogue of worldwide concert performances, Aaron appeared in the International Tour of The Phantom of the Opera, performing the role of The Phantom!
UPDATE : 24 JAN 2025 The anticipated announcement of a further 23 dates in September/October 2025 hit the socials today - with many of the Spring dates already sold out, these extra dates are a welcome addition to what promises to be an exciting tour.
