It was a really engaging chat, with Lee opening up about being diagnosed dyspraxic in his late 20s and how he's learned to deal with that, as well as talking in depth about the play mentioned above - his excitement is tangible and I can't wait to see this new chapter in his career unfold. There was airplay too for Luck Be A Lady from Lee's Some Enchanted Evening album and, perhaps inevitably on a show that celebrates musicals, Any Dream Will Do.
And, of course, they spoke about his 2019 My Story tour, which reaches the Solent region on Saturday 11 May when it visits The Concorde Club, Eastleigh (nr Southampton). The tour is a great showcase for that fabulous voice as Lee sings some of his favouite songs (including one or two I pretty much guarantee you won't have heard him sing before!) but also sees him reflecting on his life and career in conversation with the lovely Beverley Humphreys.
